A little freaked out...

So, I knew that once I got knocked up, labor would eventually follow - but I STILL am a little freaked out that it is so soon now!!
Last night my pregnancy hormones were in overdrive thinking "OH, I can't wait to see Colt" and then instantaneously thinking "oh f*ck, this shit is going to huuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrtttttttttttt!"
Funny Story: I was at my mom and dad's the other day and I was expressing my fear of going thru labor again and my dad, in typical male fashion, said "Why are you scared - you've already did it twice?" Well, before I could say anything my mom's head whipped around and she said "THAT IS WHY SHE IS SCARED ASSHOLE!" in the most serious tone. I about died laughing. Men can be so clueless sometimes :)
Anyway - today I am more focused on just having a healthy baby and not the labor pains - I will save that worry for the hospital trip :)

O.M.G - Can you say Dane Jr!!!

So I had an ultrasound today at 35 weeks and Colt is looking good. The doctors are a little concerned b/c 6 weeks ago he was 75%ile in weight and now he is 25%ile in weight and because of the large drop they want to monitor him a little closely (but 25%ile is still good!) So starting next week I go for weekly NST's.

The only major concern was the Kidney issue again. 6 weeks ago it was at .86 ml and today it was at 1.56ml and the specialist had told us as long as it doesn't get larger than 1 ml, it wasn't a cause for concern...well, it is obviously bigger than that now so my OB is calling the specialist to get her recommendation. It looks like he may be induced early just to make sure he doesn't damage the kidney. But I am not overly worried (yet) because he is 35 weeks and already over 5 lbs, so I am sure if I have to deliver early, he would be just fine :)

Anyway, back to the Dane Jr. thing - HOLY CRAP! Look at these pics of Colt and compare it to a 1 month picture of Dane (sorry about the quality, but it is a pic of a pic)- freaky similar!!! Since Dane is affectionately known as Tor-DANE-o, we are hoping this one doesn't need to be called Lightening COLT :)

My favorite son!

Well, at least for the moment! Dane has started to wake up in the mornings, get up look around and if no one else is up, he goes back to bed and back to sleep! How lucky can I get!

He rawks!

New Swingset!

Jamie and I put this together all by ourselves! I tried to convince him the directions said that women in their last trimester should not be assembling - but he didn't fall for it :(

We only argued a few times - it actually went pretty smoothly. It did take us a couple of days though!!!

Mr. Independence

So at Kindergarten registration, the principal made comments to all the parents about letting our children assert their independence. She said one way to do this was to allow them to pic out their own clothes.... Not so sure if Hunter can pass the test....

But boy was he proud of himself! It took all I had to convince him to change clothes before school BUT he put that outfit right back on afterschool. Needless to say, we stayed home!

Gangsta

Dane is straight up gangsta in this pic!

Indoor Waterpark

We took the boys to an indoor waterpark this weekend. It was awesome for their age (2 &4) and they had a ball!

32 1/2 Weeks

I am a huge cow..............moooooooooooooooooooooooo

Farm Animal Day at School

Hunter and Dane had farm animals at their school last week. Hunter was excited to tell me about the baby horse, piggies, baby goat, baby cow, dog, sheep, etc.. In FACT he was sooooooo excited, he decided we should play "farmer and cow" and I could milk his "udder."

I about died laughing and told him I didn't want to milk his "udder" and he said, "It's ok mama, it's just pretend!"

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh, no. Farmer is not a role I will be playing!

My most embarrassing moment ever!

So last week was Hunter's Kindergarten registration....so I took him there to do his assessment, and after his assessment I was sitting there talking to his speech teacher as he was drawing pictures.

He started with drawing "daddy" and then he said "I am going to draw you mama" and I said ok - and I was just talking with his speech teacher and looked over and realized he drew a picture of me - complete with ummm, "hair down there"!!!!!! I saw his teacher look at it, and so I quickly closed it and said "ok, let's go!"

I don't know if she saw it or not - but OMG - seriously Hunter?!!? I am hoping that she may not have noticed because the way he draws hair is like straight lines, so she may not have known that is what it was... So after we left I said "Hunter why did you draw that" and then he said "well, you do have hair there!" like it was just that simple ....

The picture of embarrassment!

*going to curl up and die now*
