I can't believe how time flies AFTER they are born, but goes excruitiating slow when you are pregnant!
So, he had his immunizations today and he weighs 12 lbs 7 oz - the 10th percentile. A teeny tiny bug. Hunter was 75th percentile at 4 months (over 17 lbs!) and Dane was 50th percentile. Hunter was short and fat and Dane was tall and skinny - go figure. All three have been so different.
Anyway - the doctor said I could start him on baby food and so tonight we tried sweet potatoes. HE LOVED THEM! His face was hilarious, it was something that actually had flavor, not like the rice cereal, breast milk or formula he usually gets. I really really want to give him some banana's but we are supposed to start on vegetables first - ick.

Big Bang Theory and other random thoughts
I didn't really watch The Big Bang Theory last season, but the first 2 episodes this season are killing me! Seriously Sheldon is so freakin' hilarious that Jamie and I were cracking up and giggling the whole entire show.
I had my job interview today for the 1/2 time Kindergarten position in my area. I feel that the interview went well - I really hope I get the job, but if I don't it wasn't meant to be. (btw, I KILLED it at the interview ;)
Hunter is starting to become more and more interested in doing homework and reading and writing. I don't know if it is because he is getting a lot of attention or not, but either way it is awesome that he loves to do homework. He even drew a picture of his teacher (big boobs included) to take to her :)
Hunter's 5th birthday is coming up quick. I can't believe how much my life has changed in just 5 years... crazy. We are once again having a Halloween Costume Party for his birthday because that is what he wants. I think we figured out what we were going to dress up for the party as a family. "I" am going to keep it a secret, but gossip-monger Dane knows so I am sure everyone will know before long :)
I started Colt on cereal once or twice a day HOPIN' and a PRAYIN' it would help him sleep longer... no such luck yet. I will just keep tryin'!

HGTV
Am I the only one who wishes they could tape the last 5 minutes of all of the gabillion makeover shows on this channel? I love to see the finished results, but I don't always need to see ALL the steps.
ER - Season Premiere
Tragic at best. I was not thrilled with what happened. I just didn't expect it and for some reason the fact that he was fine one minute and dead the next minute made me ill to my stomach. I just felt wretched about it.
I am going to try to follow this season since it is the last season - Let's see how well I can do...

Polit.... *snore, snore, snore*
Jeebus - I watched some of the debate (well, I didn't want to get my fat ass up to find the remote, so I watched it by default since it was on EVERY frackin' station!) and anyway, what a bore. I am sorry - I can just NOT get into politics. I know, blah blah blah - it's about the future of our country - blah blah blah - Sooooooooo, I am just going to let Melissa tell me how to vote. She actually likes that stuff and is pretty informed.
Anyway - I decided to get up and find the remote after McCain pulled some "Kennedy is in the hospital and we want to send prayers to his family" bullshit when he was asked a question and then Obama used the word "orgy" at one point and I just had to turn the channel. It was wayyyyyyyyyyy to much...

What's New with Me?
I've been a little busy lately that I haven't really "chatted" about whats going on around here --- Here's whats new with me
1. My dad is still waiting to hear his official last day of work b4 he decides if/when he is going to KY to work. I called the realtor about listing our house and have yet to hear back from her, I'll call her on monday to follow up.
2. Colt was really fussing this afternoon so I took him to the dr and he had an ear infection. He wasn't running a fever though, so I had no idea. He weighed in at 12 lbs 7 oz - almost 10th percentile - FINALLY getting up there :) I did start feeding him cereal on a spoon though and he has been chowing down on that so that probably helped.
3. Hunter has been doing good in school - some mornings he has a hard time waking up and I still freakin hate waking up colt and dane EVERY DAY just to go to the bus stop - ugh. I am a member of the PTO and am the boxtop/grocery receipt/book order mom for Hunter's room :)
4. I found out there is an open position for a 1/2 time kindergarten teacher at his school - I applied and let the principal know I applied, but I am doubting I will get it b/c I don't have the Early Childhood Endorsement - even though I have an EC masters.
5. I did fill out all the paperwork to start subbing again. I am thinking about doing some subbing on Friday's just to get back into the classroom. Only at the early elementary building though - I have subbing in upper el and middle before - HELL to the NO
6. Hunter showed me his "this is how I get really big poops out" face today - really funny.
7. The boys are in gymnastics, soccer and Hunter is in Karate. Talk about over scheduling.
8. We went and got some fish today for the boys. Hunter picked out a black and white angel fish and dane got a white and gold goldfish. Hunter named his fish Gorgeous (lmao) and Dane named his fish Nemo (the other choices were goldfish and fishy fishy!)
9. Dane has turned into the child from h-e-l-l. I love him but everything does.not.need.to.be.a.challenge! ugh!
10. Colt is starting to become more responsive and can laugh out loud now. He still loves his mama and is getting better with grandma and daddy. He likes the boys too, he is always smiling at them. Except he didn't like it so much when Dane sat on him today.
There is a quick update :)

Ice Cream Taste Test
I just wrote this entire f-in message out and blogger had an error - what the crap? Here I go again.
--------------------------------------------------
I was eating ice cream yesterday and holding Colt at the same time. You would have thought that boy knew what ice cream was b/c he was kicking his feet and leaning forward with his mouth open just trying to get a taste. He was so adamant that I decided to let him have one taste (or 10).
Yes, yes - I know he is too young for dairy. You try arguing with a baby!
Anyway - after the ice cream was gone (which I tried to eat really fast b/c I hadn't really planned on sharing it!) Colt wasn't exactly thrilled.
I mean - he was hysterical. It was quite amusing b/c the only thing wrong was the fact that he wanted more ice cream!
This just proves we are born lovin' ice cream!

Dear Body
Dear Body,
I am writing to let you know that I have come to accept the fact that you feel the need to have an attack of IBS every once in a while. It sucks, but I can handle it. My main bitch today though is, do you really have to attack at the most inappropriate times?? WTF - Don't you realize it hurts YOU more when you attack when I am not close to a restroom.
Fortunately enough for you, I was only at the movie theater this time- not too far of a walk. But when you decided to hit with a MAJOR attack while I was camping - what were you thinking? Do you really think it is safe for us to be truckin' it to the bathroom in pitch dark?
We are together forever - so it's time you learned that we need to work together. Let's limit the attacks of IBS to the homefront. K?
Yours Truly,
Me

It's Official
Only the fourth day of school and we had our first "I HATE SCHOOL" proclamation today. Great.
I don't really think he was whole-heartedly in his proclamation b/c he didn't seem to irritated so hopefully next week will go smoothly.
When asked why he hated school he said "I don't get to watch cartoons. I don't get to watch movies and I don't get to play the Wii!" Soooooooo - I think we may watch too much TV and play too many video games around here. Time to make some changes.

Faces of Colt
I love taking pics of Colt because that baby goes from one extreme to another within seconds.
Here is 2 examples.

THIS.IS.A.NIGHTMARE!
This is what Hunter proceeded to scream at the top of his lungs AFTER he was told he couldn't watch cartoons during rest time.
Well, let me tell you something about a nightmare my dear, sweet, lovable boy. A nightmare is when your baby is gone all day at kindergarten and you miss him so much and you walk to the bus stop to pick him up and all he is is RUDE and TALKING BACK! I should have put his ass right back on the bus....
So anyway - there are consequences for talking to adults that way. I am afraid my son, just like his mother, will be the type to learn things the hard way :( I don't know who that sucks for more - him or me!
